Baby Turtles continue to be found washed up in places out of their normal habitat. One was dropped off at the Ocean Park Civic League meeting last Thursday. Certified Wild Life Rehabber Jill Doczi released the turtle the next day inside the fences at Pleasure House Point Natural Area Natural Area. She says the fences that were set up as part of the wetlands project actually serve to protect especially the young turtles from predation by dogs and unintended interference by visitors. Thank you to our neighbor who rescued this and other turtles!
Wisdom from Jill: All turtles do not belong in the bay!!
