Huge thank you to all the great volunteers and generous donors to the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday! We estimate we had up to 70 children! The donations of candy and prizes allowed us to stuff 800 eggs with leftovers for the adults!
Thank you to our Easter Bunny Shane Abell- watching the kids with you is so great! Thank you to our egg stuffers and hiders and set up and clean up crew!! Thank you!
Next on the agenda is the Spring Fling Picnic on April 25th from 4-7 pm at Taste Bayville on Shore Drive. We have a few new folks so here are the details:
– This is a members only event and is free to current 2026 members. 2026 dues (paid since January 2026) must be paid up for entry so we will check in folks at the entrance. Each membership covers the members of the household. It’s a great time to pay dues or even better do it in advance and skip the line! Membership LINK HERE!
– Food for the event includes: sandwich wraps, potato salad, mac and cheese, fruit salad, cookies, chips and new this year: peanut butter and jelly triangles for the kids. Folks who would like vegan or gluten free can sign up for that by Thursday April 23 and it will be held for them.
– This year we will offer sweet tea and water (maybe lemonade) for drinks and folks can purchase wine or beer.
– We have live music from a young musician from the community!
– We will sell our Ocean Park Merch and have a 50/50 raffle .
We do need volunteers to greet and check folks in and to assist Treasurer Shane in taking payments.
We need a few folks to help out at the merchandise table and to walk around selling raffle tickets.
Checking folks in is simple: find their name on the list and each person gets one food ticket. If they haven’t paid dues yet they move over to see Shane.
