September 25-27 – We had a total of 47 launches. This was a very stormy weekend. Winds were very high, we had small craft advisories, higher than normal tides, and periods of rain. Staff contested with blowing sand and some beach over wash on walkway under the Lesner Bridge.
Friday, September 25 β 8 total launches, car parking did not fill during the day. Winds were very high due to storm and water was above the piers during the periods of high tide. Power to office was out for a large period of the day. It was restored around 4pm.
Saturday, September 26 – 5 total launches, car parking did not fill during the day. Another day of high gale force winds and high tides. Lots of blowing sand and some over wash of walkway to beach.
Sunday, September 27 – 34 total launches, car parking did not fill during the day. The overflow lot was not used for trailers. The main trailer lot did not fill. Barricades were not deployed. We did not have to close the facility. We still had a small craft advisory on the bay and high winds. Tides were still above normal.
Incidents: Review of camera footage from weekend did not indicate any additional issues.
